MAKING TRACKS: SHARING THE PROGRESS OF ROAD OPERATIONS ACROSS THE TOWN OF EAST GWILLIMBURY

Date: Thursday, February 15,  2024, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (networking opportunity from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM)

Webinar will be led by Rob Halko (Town of East Gwillimbury) and Lesley MacKenzie (Consortech).

(biographies listed below)

Similar to many other municipalities, the Town of East Gwillimbury needs to efficiently manage its snow removal activities. The fleet management solution GeoTab manages their road operations including snow removal. Outside of the team managing road operations, many other stakeholders at the Town need to understand the general progress of the work going on. As the GeoTab application generates a wide variety of rich data, the Town needed to find creative ways to share simplified views of the information that is understandable by different audiences and available in a timely manner.

Thanks to a collaborative work partnership between Consortech and the Town, a solution leveraging existing tools was developed to share the progress of road operations across the organization, and eventually with the public. Let us present to you how FME has been leveraged to process and automate data workflows from GeoTab to Esri’s Operations Dashboards and Power BI to give an updated view on operations in a relevant and timely manner.

Remain on the call after the webinar to network and socialize with your fellow BeSpatial members!
