To empower our members to enhance their location-based insights, geospatial decision-making, and support of a geo-enabled community that drives innovation through collaboration, networking, and professional development.

BeSpatial is a vibrant, inclusive community that advances data, analytics, and geospatial technology through networking and collaboration to foster innovation and improve decision-making.
Strategic Objectives
- Proactively encourage individuals and organizations to participate and volunteer in the geospatial and information community.
- Deliver networking opportunities, programs and services contributing to geospatial and information community growth, enhanced productivity and innovation.
- Engage community participation in actively sharing their geospatial and information knowledge and leadership.
- Advocate for standards that will influence the geospatial and information community.
- Recognize and reward excellence and innovation within the geospatial and information community.
Goals
Challenge, Engage, Educate, and Recognize the geospatial and information community.- Challenge: Address the needs of geospatial information and analytics for an expanded set of skills and knowledge that are required to respond to challenges in the information economy.
- Engage: Expand participation by including individuals and organizations representing various industries. Recognize the value of voluntarism and leadership in the development of the geospatial and information community.
- Educate: Have monthly webinars to keep up with current technology and trends
- Recognize: Recognizing the value of information and analysis to unlock the power of data, spur innovation, and improve the quality of informed decisions.

Guiding Principles
Advocacy Advocate with all relevant organizations on behalf of our members and their needs.
Membership Participation Facilitate active membership involvement in all aspects of the Association's operation.

Leadership Plan and develop programs and initiatives which help to deal with issues important to members.

For the Purposes of ....... Bridging the Gap
Creating a shared understanding of the concepts, issues, and technology of spatially related information management among persons in operations, management and policy making;
Interdisciplinary Approach
Promoting an effective interdisciplinary approach to implementing, maintaining, and utilizing spatially related data, information systems and technology;
Knowledge Exchange
Establishing the vehicle(s) for informing members of industry developments, and for the exchange of members' experiences and viewpoints;
Strong Voice
Providing a focal point for the presentation and dissemination of members' concerns regarding industry standards and economic and legislative matters as they pertain to the use of spatially related information systems.
