We are deeply saddened to share that Brian “Bunk” Lee, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brian spent the past seven years with the NPCA (Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority) as the GIS Administrator, where he brought exceptional skill, dedication, and a memorable sense of humour to his work. Known for encouraging colleagues to embrace GIS, uncovering hidden office candy stashes, and sharing honest thoughts with a smile, Brian made a lasting impact and will be greatly missed.
Born and raised in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Brian built a 35‑year career in the GIS field after graduating from the University of Waterloo. A life long scratch handicapper, Bunk could always be found at the golf course, and proudly served as the first caddy for LPGA star Brooke Henderson during her first LPGA win in 2015. Brian is survived by his brother Pat, niece Brianne, and sister‑in‑law Candace, and is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Delores Lee. A celebration of life will be held in spring 2026 in both Smiths Falls and Collingwood.
