What is BeSpatial Ontario?
BeSpatial Ontario is a community of professionals, organizations, and enthusiasts who are passionate about geospatial technology and its applications. Our mission is to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation in the field of spatial information.
Who can join BeSpatial Ontario?
Anyone with an interest in geospatial technology, whether you’re a seasoned GIS professional, a student, or simply curious about maps and location-based data, you are welcome to join BeSpatial Ontario. Our diverse membership includes government agencies, private companies, educational institutions, and individuals.

What are BeSpatial Ontario's website policies?
Our policies are all listed under our Website policies pages.
How do I log into the website?
Use the login button in the upper righthand corner of the website
How can I add/remove/update members under my bundle?
If you are a bundle administrator, you can add, remove and update members of your organization.
- Log in to the members area of the website and click on your profile.
- Scroll past your membership card to see the list of your bundle members.
- To add a member click the add member button and fill in the new member's details.
- To edit or delete a member, click on the members name and select either archive to delete the member or edit to edit their details.
I'm a member but I am either no longer receiving or receiving sporadic communication (e-newsletters, announcements, etc), how can I fix this?
- Connection attempt failed
- Recipients inbox is out of space
- Unsubscribe function has been activated
- Check your Spam folder
- The email on your BeSpatial profile is incorrect or no longer exists - please review your profile here
- Your organization has blocked bulk content or their encryption security standards are preventing emails from being delivered.
How do I submit a job posting?
Send an email request to Web. If you have a leadership membership you qualify for two complimentary job postings a year. We will follow up with you about invoicing and to confirm if you qualify for a complimentary posting.
Webinars and Events
How to get proof that I attended webinar/event/conference?
Sign in to your profile on the BeSpatial website and view the My Event Registrations page. You can print the page as proof of attendance to events and webinars.
Where do I see what webinars are coming soon?
Upcoming events can be found on the righthand panel of our home page under the Upcoming Events heading. You can view them on our events page
Where are the webinar recordings?
Webinar recordings can be found in the member's area. You must be logged in and have an active membership to view them.
I have an idea for a webinar/presentation, where do I submit for consideration?
Proposals can be submitted on our submit a proposal page.

How can I get involved?
There are several ways to get involved with BeSpatial Ontario:

Board members are voted-in at our AGM in May. We welcome you to become a volunteer on one of our standing committees before signing up as a director. Information can be found on our Volunteer Page.
How do I make a submission to an award?
Awards can be found and submitted on our awards page. To nominate a member for a Leadership award, please send an email to our Past President.
