Biography

Hanna Sjostrom's exploration of the GIS realm kicked off with a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies at McMaster University, igniting a spark that led her to delve deeper with a postgraduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Fleming College. In 2021, she proudly earned her stripes as a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP).

Now, in her role as a Strategic Advisor within Esri Canada's Advantage Program, Hanna guides clients through the intricacies of realizing their geospatial objectives. Her approach extends beyond delivering solutions; she actively champions the development of GIS advocates within organizations, recognizing their pivotal role in fostering enduring impact and widespread adoption.

When not immersed in the world of GIS, Hanna finds joy in global exploration and immersing herself in the great outdoors. Whether embarking on new adventures abroad or navigating the picturesque trails of Halton Conservation, Hanna seamlessly weaves her passion for exploration into the fabric of her personal and professional life.
