Ontario Elevation Mapping Program

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) was tasked to create a Provincial mapping program in support of the Ontario Flooding Strategy. Elevation data for regions across the province was decades old in some places. Severe flood events are becoming common-place. The financial burden to individuals, businesses and the province was growing. The need for high resolution mapping to support the flood strategy has been great.
